Our new premises at 5 Lostock Place in Didcot has been renovated to our demanding specifications to include 4 treatment rooms, a dedicated spray tanning room and welcoming salon for four nail desks. Finished to the highest standards and fully wheelchair accessible, we have created a luxurious and relaxed setting where you can indulge yourself. We look forward to welcoming you to our new salon from 29th December 2021 where we’ll be ready to help with all your beauty needs.
Our Story
Beauty Essentials began in 2004 when Emma rented a room in Headington. She was 18 and fresh out of college, having just received her NVQ level 2 and 3 qualifications in beauty therapy. Eighteen years later, Emma still has some of the same clients today.
After a year at Headington, Beauty Essentials went mobile, and Emma continued to treat clients on her days off whilst she pursued another career. However, it became clear that beauty was her passion and so in 2011 Emma returned to beauty, covering maternity at a salon in Blewbury.
She later opened a treatment room in Dorchester-on-Thames and two further rooms at the Wedding House in Wallingford, offering clients a choice of three locations.
In 2014 the Wedding House moved to Hagbourne Road in Didcot and Emma moved with them. In the same year, Beauty Essentials opened its own studio salon in Wallingford and employed another therapist expanding Beauty Essentials a team of two. The treatment rooms in Blewbury and Dorchester-on-Thames closed, allowing Emma to expand her offering at the two larger sites in Wallingford and Didcot.
When 2016 saw the Wedding House close, Emma took on the building. The House of Beauty and Wellbeing opened with Beauty Essentials working out of 4 rooms with the other 3 being rented out, offering wellbeing treatments.
Didcot became Emma’s busiest salon and so in 2019 the Wallingford salon finally closed, bringing all 4 staff and treatments under one roof.
After nearly two years, and a 6-month temporary relocation to the Innovation Centre in Harwell, we are very excited for the new chapter at Beauty Essentials.
