Electrolysis
Electrolysis is a safe, effective, comfortable and progressively permanent method of removing unwanted hair for clients of every skin colour and with all types of hair growth.
Unwanted hair is a common problem affecting most people to varying degrees throughout their lives and prompting the use of various temporary methods of hair reduction or hair management systems. However electrolysis is still the only proven. permanent method of hair removal and many women and indeed many men. have benefited from this trled and trusted treatment
Electrolysis today is more gentle, more comfortable and more effective, offering an affordable modern treatment which is becoming increasingly popular.
How does Electrolysis work?
A tiny probe (about the size of an eyelash) is inserted into the hair follicle where a short burst of energy is targeted at the root of the hair. This burst of energy prevents nutrients feeding the follicle and the new hair growth becomes weaker and finer. After a course of treatments the follicle is no longer able to produce new hairs and complete hair free results are obtained. Each hair follicle requires a number of treatments because each follicle has its own growing cycle. Electrolysis works by weakening the follicle and eventually destroying its ability to produce hairs. Results take a little time, but just like dieting, it’s not the crash diet but the healthy eating plan that works in the long run.
What will happen during the first appointment?
You will have a consultation to determine if the treatment is suitable for you and to experience a ‘taster’ session. You will have an opportunity to ask questions about the treatment, and your treatment plan will be discussed.
What about hygiene?
Single use, individually wrapped, sterile probes are used to totally eliminate any risk of cross infection.
How much do the treatments cost?
Treatment sessions can be booked in multiples of 15 minutes and treatment packages are available. Electrolysis is progressively permanent which means you come frequently in the initial stages then the treatments become more spread out until you are coming only a few times a year.
